Lenovo has unveiled a new range of data storage solutions geared towards accelerating IT modernization in the current era marked by the rise of artificial intelligence. This significant refresh of Lenovo’s data storage portfolio includes updates to 21 models within the ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile lines. These are aimed at enhancing enterprise AI, virtualization, and sustainability tasks.

Lenovo’s newly announced solutions feature AI starter kits, and introduce an industry-first liquid-cooled hyperconverged infrastructure appliance, which is designed to improve legacy data operations for AI workloads. “The new Lenovo Data Storage Solutions help businesses harness AI’s transformative power with a data-driven strategy that ensures scalability, interoperability, and tangible business outcomes powered by trusted infrastructure,” stated Scott Tease, Vice President and General Manager of Infrastructure Solutions Product Group at Lenovo.

Consisting of storage arrays and software-defined infrastructure, the portfolio offers businesses the technology to run AI and data modernization workloads on new Lenovo equipment, driving real-time data-driven decisions and AI deployment at scale. Data quality, IT costs, and system integration have been identified by CIOs as key challenges in AI implementation according to global IDC research commissioned by Lenovo.

The release is designed to help businesses capture more value through AI, with solutions that span converged hybrid cloud offerings. These are optimized for easy deployment, faster inferencing, workload consolidation, and reduced total cost of ownership.

Additionally, the new Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series incorporates Lenovo’s Neptune Liquid Cooling to provide efficient energy savings, while the AI Starter Kits for the Lenovo Hybrid AI Platform offer simplified enterprise AI deployment pathways.

With Lenovo’s enhanced infrastructure solutions, the company is advocating for a future where high-performance storage systems match the pace of enterprise AI demands. Tony Weston, Chief Technology Officer at OneNet, highlighted the importance of these developments: “Innovation is embedded in OneNet’s DNA and partnering with Lenovo represents a commitment to modernizing the data center with cutting-edge solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability.”

The solutions focus on delivering security and resilience while supporting businesses in preparing for future technological and innovation challenges.
