Lenovo has announced the launch of its new Lenovo Chromebook Plus (14”, 10), which is powered by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra processor. This device is the first Chromebook to feature exclusive Google AI functionalities, aimed at enhancing hybrid AI capabilities.

Benny Zhang, Executive Director and General Manager of Chromebooks in Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group, emphasized the device’s ability to support remote work: “Our society has embraced the freedom of hybrid and remote work, but that freedom demands the workforce and their devices to be productive regardless of location and to do more in less time.”

The Chromebook Plus offers 50 TOPS for enhanced performance and includes features such as Smart grouping for organizing tabs and on-device image editing. It also supports AI functionalities like Select to search with Lens and text capture using optical character recognition.

In terms of design, the Chromebook features Dolby Atmos sound with quad speakers and a 14-inch OLED display. It is designed for portability with up to 17 hours of battery life, weighing less than 1.17 kg.

The device supports educators through Google’s Chrome Education Upgrade, enabling schools to manage ChromeOS environments effectively. The Lenovo Chromebook Plus (14”, 10) is now available starting at $649.
