Lenovo and Bellevue University are collaborating to provide education in supply chain and logistics, aiming to foster the next generation of professionals in this field. Lenovo, recognized among the top 10 in Gartner’s Supply Chain Top 25, is partnering with Bellevue University, a leading online educational institution.

Ben Massie, Vice President of Global Supply Chain at Lenovo, stated that integrating real-world global supply chain experience into educational curricula is essential for upskilling the future workforce. He noted that teaming up with Bellevue would help attract talent using advanced technology to achieve Lenovo’s mission of delivering “smarter technology for all.”

Bellevue University will utilize Lenovo’s extensive supply chain expertise across its network of learners and corporate partners. Massie highlighted Lenovo’s strength in its global manufacturing network and expressed that by incorporating practical case studies into their courses, students will be better prepared for complex work environments.

A McKinsey & Company report from 2024 pointed out a shortage of digital talent as a significant barrier to companies’ efforts in transforming their supply chains. Ninety percent of surveyed companies indicated they lacked sufficient talent for digitization goals.

The collaboration offers a Supply Chain Operations & Project Management Certificate of Completion through two three-credit hour courses: Management of Supply Chain Operations and Advanced Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. These master’s-level courses can be completed concurrently within eight months.

Dr. Rich Lombardo, Executive Director of Bellevue University’s Workforce Skills Academy, emphasized their focus on employee growth planning. He expressed confidence in equipping adult learners and employers with necessary skills to handle global supply chain complexities.

Lenovo is a prominent global technology company with $69 billion in revenue, serving customers worldwide and ranked #248 on the Fortune Global 500 list. It focuses on providing AI-enabled devices and infrastructure solutions globally.
