Lenovo has announced the appointment of a new executive leadership team for Saudi Arabia and confirmed plans to establish its Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh. The RHQ will be located in Al Majdoul Tower, a prominent building in the city that houses several government and technology organizations. This move is part of Lenovo’s broader strategy to expand its presence in the region and support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals for digital transformation and economic diversification.
The company’s regional growth strategy includes a collaboration with ALAT, a company owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). In February 2025, Lenovo and ALAT began construction on a 200,000 square meter advanced manufacturing facility within the “Riyadh Integrated” area operated by Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ). The facility is expected to start producing millions of devices labeled “Saudi Made” by 2026.
Lenovo’s new RHQ will serve as a base for investments in retail space, customer centers, research and development, marketing initiatives, and strategic partnerships throughout Saudi Arabia.
Lawrence Yu has been named Head of Regional Headquarters. He has worked at Lenovo for 15 years and played an important role in forming the partnership with ALAT and planning the Riyadh manufacturing site. Yu previously led Lenovo Retail Solutions globally, achieving significant revenue growth over five years. He also contributed to major strategic deals during his time working closely with Lenovo’s Chairman and CEO.
Giovanni Di Filippo has been appointed Vice President & General Manager for Lenovo Saudi Arabia. He will oversee all business units including Intelligent Devices Group (IDG), Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), and Solutions & Services Group (SSG). Di Filippo previously served as President of EMEA ISG where he increased market share from 6% to 14%.
Zoran Radumilo joins as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Lenovo Saudi Arabia. With more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology leadership focused on AI, cloud, and software solutions—especially in emerging markets—Radumilo previously worked at IFS where he helped grow its valuation significantly. At Lenovo Saudi Arabia, he will develop go-to-market strategies across sectors such as government entities, energy, telecommunications, smart cities, and financial services.
“Mr. Lawrence Yu…has also worked closely with Lenovo’s Chairman and CEO during a transformative period for the company…” according to information provided by Lenovo.
The establishment of this regional headquarters aligns with ongoing efforts by international companies to increase their footprint in Saudi Arabia as part of local economic initiatives.
