A juvenile in the custody of the Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention did not return to the Edgecombe Youth Development Center after an authorized off-campus family visit, according to officials. The incident occurred on August 24, when Dylan P., whose home county is Surry County, was last seen at approximately 2:45 p.m. at 770 North Wesleyan Boulevard in Rocky Mount.
Authorities have notified local law enforcement agencies and are working with them as part of the ongoing investigation. “The division has notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the investigation,” according to a statement from the agency.
