Horseshoe at Hub RTP, a mixed-use development in North Carolina, has been honored with the “Best Development Project” award at the 26th Annual Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women (TCREW) Champion Awards. This accolade recognizes properties that excel in functionality, aesthetics, and their relationship with surroundings. The awards ceremony took place on April 24 at the Embassy Suites in Cary.
Erik Johnson, founder of White Point, expressed gratitude for the recognition: “We are thrilled for Horseshoe to receive such esteemed recognition from this impactful organization,” he said. He also congratulated other winners and nominees.
The TCREW Champion Awards highlight successful real estate projects and professionals across the Triangle area each year. Horseshoe at Hub RTP serves as a downtown destination for Research Triangle Park (RTP) and its community. Completed in late 2024, it features three buildings around a central courtyard designed for various community activities.
Prominent chefs Preeti Waas and Christopher Prieto will introduce their food concepts at Horseshoe this year. Waas’ Nanny Goat boutique bodega and Cheeni location open this spring, while Prieto’s Prime STQ is expected in the fall. Other upcoming establishments include Di Fara Pizza Tavern and Drift Coffee & Kitchen. Additionally, Genesys plans to relocate its Durham office to Horseshoe this fall.
Carolyn Coia, vice president of real estate at RTF, remarked on her involvement with the project: “Each day, I’m grateful for the opportunity to help shape spaces that connect and uplift our community.” She emphasized that working on Horseshoe has been rewarding and is significant for RTP’s development.
RTF CEO Scott Levitan was nominated for an Impact Award, while Carolyn Coia was considered for a CREW Excellence Award during the event.
