Honeywell has introduced a set of digital technologies using artificial intelligence to support the industrial sector’s move from automation to autonomy. The announcement was made at the 49th annual Honeywell Users Group in San Antonio.

The new offerings include AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions aimed at strengthening operational technology (OT) environments against changing cyber threats. Honeywell Cyber Proactive Defense and Honeywell OT Security Operations Center are intended to help companies reduce cyberattack risks, increase resiliency, and support ongoing operations.

Additionally, the company announced that its Digital Prime platform will be expanded into an enterprise-wide solution. This platform allows for testing and modifying engineering projects before they are implemented, which can help decrease plant downtime and improve throughput during production.

A recent survey conducted by Honeywell among 300 U.S. decision-makers and influencers in energy and related sectors found that most respondents see potential for AI to improve energy security in the near term. The survey showed that 91% believe AI could enhance energy security soon, while 85% reported their organizations are either using or piloting AI.

“Industries are seeking AI-enabled, enterprise-wide solutions that adapt and make decisions in dynamic conditions, and our new digital technologies help them create safer, more reliable and more efficient operations,” said Pramesh Maheshwari, president of Honeywell Process Solutions. “As we guide our customers on the path from automation to autonomy, Honeywell’s domain expertise is poised to help them rethink how they use technology to drive innovation and gain a competitive edge.”

Honeywell Cyber Proactive Defense and OT Security Operations Center are now available globally. The expanded Digital Prime ecosystem is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Honeywell operates across several industries worldwide with business segments focused on automation, aviation’s future, and energy transition. More information about Honeywell can be found at www.honeywell.com/newsroom.
