Governor Josh Stein is scheduled to speak at the inaugural meeting of the Gang Prevention and Intervention Task Force, which is part of the Governor’s Crime Commission. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 14, at 2:40 p.m. at the Governor’s Crime Commission office located at 1201 Front Street in Raleigh.
The purpose of the task force is to discuss efforts to enhance public safety and consider additional strategies for violence prevention in North Carolina. According to the announcement, Governor Stein will use this opportunity to highlight his ongoing work aimed at keeping residents safe and emphasize the importance of further measures to prevent violence.
