Ensono, a technology advisor and managed service provider, has adopted the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to enhance its IT management and support growth. The company is using the platform to streamline operations, accelerate deployment, and improve consistency for its customers.

According to Tim Beerman, chief technology officer at Ensono, “The speed and scale we’ve gained in such a short time have made [Ansible Automation Platform] a core part of how we operate going forward.” He added, “Ansible Automation Platform has helped us simplify how we manage a complex environment. It’s taken a lot of manual, repetitive work off our teams’ plates, letting them focus more on innovation and solving real business problems. The speed and scale we’ve gained in such a short time have made this a core part of how we operate going forward.”

In one year of using the platform, Ensono reported deploying over 30,000 IT assets and resources while executing 40 million tasks and running 225,000 jobs. This automation led to more than 210,000 hours saved by reducing manual tasks. The company also integrated the platform with ServiceNow as part of its Envision automation framework.

Automation analytics provided by the platform allowed Ensono to gain better visibility into performance metrics and address potential issues proactively. Event-Driven Ansible enabled faster responses to disruptions and improved application performance.

Red Hat Ansible Certified Content Collections were used by Ensono for consistent automation across various teams and environments, including IBM Z systems.

To further promote efficient processes and best practices among its teams, Red Hat Consulting worked with Ensono to develop a community of practice framework. This initiative encourages knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.

Looking ahead, Ensono plans to expand its community of practice and explore Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed’s generative AI capabilities. The goal is to make automation accessible to more users while maintaining high-quality standards across projects.

Sathish Balakrishnan, vice president and general manager for Ansible at Red Hat said: “As a leader in the market, our goal is to set the standard for what IT automation can help customers achieve. Customers rely on Ansible Automation Platform to bridge knowledge gaps, tackle operational complexity and unify varying tools across the enterprise. Ensono’s remarkable results are a clear example of how impactful IT automation can be to drive outcomes, and leveraging IT automation as a strategic priority will continue to be fundamental as businesses harness AI to deliver significant value.”

Ensono’s use of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform demonstrates how organizations can use automation tools not only for cost savings but also for improving efficiency as their operations grow.
