Duke Energy has announced key leadership appointments in its federal affairs, policy, sustainability, and philanthropy sectors. Effective July 1, Pepper Natonski will assume the role of senior vice president for these areas, while Tom Craig will take on the position of vice president for federal affairs.

Louis Renjel, executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer at Duke Energy, emphasized the importance of these appointments. “Duke Energy is executing an ambitious strategy to serve the growing needs of our customers and communities,” he stated. He highlighted Natonski’s passion and track record as well as Craig’s respected leadership and experience on Capitol Hill.

Natonski expressed her commitment to leading Duke Energy’s teams during this critical time for the industry. “I am honored to lead Duke Energy’s federal affairs, policy, sustainability and philanthropy teams at a time of both challenge and opportunity for our industry,” she said.

Having joined Duke Energy nearly a decade ago, Natonski has played a significant role in achieving important federal policy outcomes. Her previous experience includes serving as chief of staff to Congressman Richard Hudson.

Tom Craig brings over ten years of service at Duke Energy to his new role. He will be responsible for advancing the company’s federal public policy strategy with Congress and other governmental bodies.

Renjel added that these appointments demonstrate the strength of Duke Energy’s leadership team: “These appointments reflect the strength and depth of our leadership team. Pepper and Tom exemplify the values and capabilities needed to meet this historic energy moment.”

Duke Energy is one of America’s largest energy holding companies, serving millions across several states with both electric and natural gas utilities. The company continues its focus on transitioning towards cleaner energy solutions while maintaining customer reliability.
