The North Carolina Coastal Habitat Protection Plan Steering Committee is scheduled to meet on September 25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The meeting will take place via web conference.

During the session, the committee will hear a presentation about initial recommendations from the Collaboratory Study on the state’s coastal and marine fisheries. There will also be discussions about a proposed framework for amending the Coastal Habitat Protection Plan (CHPP) in 2026 and a review of the timeline for this upcoming revision.

A listening location for members of the public who wish to attend in person will be available at the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries Central District Office, located at 5285 Highway 70 West, Morehead City, NC 28557.
