The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has chosen Red Hat OpenShift AI to enhance its environmental impact assessment (EIA) processes. This initiative aims to streamline procedures, minimize errors, and reduce response times for businesses in the region. The Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha (JCCM) has implemented a generative AI-powered assistant using this platform to improve efficiency in reviewing and resolving EIA files.

Juan Pedro de Ruz Ortega, the general director of digitalization and artificial intelligence at JCCM, stated, “JCCM is committed to harnessing the latest technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our public services. Using Red Hat OpenShift AI, we are transforming the way we manage Environmental Impact Assessments, resulting in faster response times, reduced errors, and a better experience for our citizens.”

The Digital Transformation Agency of Castilla-La Mancha sought to modernize EIA processes without compromising quality. The agency used Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus as its cloud-native application platform before turning to Red Hat OpenShift AI for machine learning projects. The system transforms PDF documents into vectors stored in a database for direct queries and error reduction.

Red Hat’s Julia Bernal commented on the project: “Modernizing environmental impact assessments requires a solution that is both efficient and scalable. Red Hat OpenShift AI provides the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs and the scalability to manage increasingly large workloads.”

JCCM plans further innovation by adopting Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform across corporate teams. This will support enterprise automation, reducing manual processes while focusing on innovation.

Red Hat envisions a future where organizations can deploy any model on any accelerator across any cloud. Their goal is an exceptional user experience without high costs through a universal inference platform.

At the Red Hat Summit in Boston, keynotes from executives, customers, and partners highlighted these developments. Sessions included discussions on modernized infrastructure meeting enterprise-ready AI and hybrid cloud evolution delivering enterprise innovation.
