Bank of America has announced an increase in cash back rewards for new holders of its Customized Cash Rewards and Unlimited Cash Rewards credit cards. Starting June 1, new cardholders will benefit from enhanced cash back offers during their first year.

For those opening a Customized Cash Rewards card, there is an opportunity to earn 6% cash back in a chosen category, up from the previous 3%. Meanwhile, new Unlimited Cash Rewards cardholders will receive 2% cash back on all purchases, compared to the prior rate of 1.5%. There is no limit to the amount of cash back that can be earned.

Lora Monfared, Head of Consumer Card Products at Bank of America, stated: “We are committed to providing our clients with credit cards designed to help them make the most of their everyday spending – now with an extra boost to help navigate the year ahead. Whether they prefer to maximize rewards in a specific spending category or earn a flat rate on all purchases, our cash rewards cards provide value to stretch their dollars further.”

Additionally, clients who open either card and spend $1,000 within the first 90 days will receive a $200 welcome bonus.

The Customized Cash Rewards card offers double cash back for the first year in selected categories such as gas stations and online shopping. After this period, the rate reverts to 3% in these categories. The Unlimited Cash Rewards card provides unlimited 2% cash back on all purchases during the first year before returning to 1.5%.

Bank of America serves approximately 69 million consumer and small business clients through its vast network across the United States and internationally. It remains one of the leading financial institutions globally.
