Apple TV+ has achieved a significant milestone by securing 81 Emmy Award nominations for the upcoming 77th Emmy Awards. This achievement includes nominations across 14 Apple Original titles, with “Severance” leading as the most-nominated series with 27 nods. “The Studio” also made history as the most-nominated freshman comedy series, garnering 23 nominations.
Zack Van Amburg, Apple’s head of Worldwide Video, expressed his excitement: “Everyone at Apple is celebrating the talent, creativity, and hard work of all of our Emmy nominees this morning.” He highlighted the success of “Severance,” “The Studio,” “Shrinking,” and “Slow Horses,” noting their global impact and appreciation from audiences worldwide.
Jamie Erlicht, Apple’s Head of Worldwide Video, emphasized the significance of this record-breaking year for Apple: “This record-breaking year is a milestone for Apple, and we’re especially proud of the continued impact our outstanding series nominees — Severance, The Studio, Shrinking, and Slow Horses — are having on global culture.”
In addition to these achievements in drama and comedy categories, Apple TV+ received multiple acting nominations. Adam Scott from “Severance” was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Other notable acting nominations include Britt Lower for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and Harrison Ford receiving his first Emmy nomination for his role in “Shrinking.”
“The Studio” also stood out with Seth Rogen receiving nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor as well as Directing and Writing. Kathryn Hahn and Catherine O’Hara were recognized with supporting actress nominations.
Apple’s presence extended beyond series to films and documentaries. The film “The Gorge” received its first nomination for Outstanding Television Movie. Documentaries such as “Deaf President Now!” and “Bono: Stories of Surrender” were also acknowledged.
Overall, Apple TV+ led with 31 acting category nominations across various shows including performances in “The Studio,” “Severance,” “Shrinking,” and others. The winners will be announced at ceremonies scheduled for September 2025.
