Apple Maps has introduced a new feature that allows users to access rankings and insights from expert sources for various establishments, including restaurants, hotels, and golf courses. This update aims to enhance the user experience by providing information from reputable organizations such as MICHELIN Guide, The Infatuation, and Golf Digest.

Starting in the United States, Apple Maps users can now search for MICHELIN-starred restaurants, Green Star venues, Bib Gourmand eateries, and MICHELIN Key hotels. Future updates will expand this feature to additional regions. In addition to restaurant information, users will soon have access to insights from The Infatuation and Golf Digest.

David Dorn, Apple’s senior director of Internet Software and Services Product, stated: “MICHELIN Guide, The Infatuation, and Golf Digest are leading industry experts that consumers rely on for finding the best restaurants, hotels, and golf courses, and we’re excited to bring their valuable insights and accolades to our users in Apple Maps.”

The integration of these expert sources into Apple Maps is expected to provide a seamless resource for discovering new places both locally and when traveling. Gwendal Poullennec of MICHELIN Guide commented: “We are pleased to bring MICHELIN Guide’s expertise to Apple Maps. The integration of MICHELIN Guide’s ratings, expert insights, and booking services into Apple Maps will significantly enhance global access to exceptional gastronomy and hospitality experiences.”

Paul Needham from The Infatuation added: “Apple and The Infatuation share a commitment to high-quality content — and we are thrilled to soon bring our authentic, relatable, and curated restaurant recommendations to Apple Maps.” Meanwhile, Meredith Bausback of Golf Digest noted: “As the leading authority in golf course rankings and reviews, Golf Digest is proud to bring our trusted insights to Apple Maps.”

With this update in place cards on Apple Maps will now display distinctions along with descriptions and images from these expert sources. Select hotels can be booked directly through the app while restaurant reservations via MICHELIN and tee times through Supreme Golf will be available soon.

Users can take advantage of this feature by using search filters within the app or exploring curated guides provided by these partners.
