Apple has announced the expansion of its personal intelligence system, Apple Intelligence, to more languages and regions worldwide. With the release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4, users can now access Apple Intelligence features in French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (simplified), as well as localized English for Singapore and India.

This update also marks the first time that iPhone and iPad users in the EU will have access to these features. Additionally, Apple Intelligence is expanding to a new platform with initial features available in U.S. English on Apple Vision Pro.

Vision Pro users can benefit from various tools such as Writing Tools for proofreading and summarizing text or composing text using ChatGPT. They can also explore Image Playground for visual expression and create customized emojis with Genmoji.

The release includes new features like Priority Notifications for managing time-sensitive communications and the ability to create memory movies on Mac by typing a description. An added Sketch style in Image Playground allows for creating detailed sketches.

Apple emphasizes privacy in AI with this update by ensuring on-device processing and extending privacy through Private Cloud Compute when larger models are required.

“Apple Intelligence marks an extraordinary step forward for privacy in AI,” states the press release. “It is designed to protect users’ privacy at every step.”
