Apple Music is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the introduction of a new studio space in Los Angeles. This facility, set to open this summer, aims to enhance artist-driven content and foster deeper connections between artists and fans. Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s co-head, emphasized the importance of this development by stating, “With this new studio, we are furthering our commitment to creating a space for artists to create, connect, and share their vision.”
The Los Angeles studio spans over 15,000 square feet across three stories. It includes two advanced radio studios equipped with Spatial Audio playback for live interviews and performances. A soundstage designed for live events and screenings measures 4,000 square feet. The facility also features a dedicated Spatial Audio mixing room with a 9.2.4 PMC speaker system for high-quality sound production.
Additional amenities include a photo and social media lab, edit room, green room for real-time content creation, private isolation booths for songwriting or podcasting sessions, and corridors showcasing memorable moments from Apple Music’s history.
This new studio will be part of Apple’s global network of creative hubs located in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, and Nashville. The launch represents Apple’s ongoing efforts to innovate how music is streamed and experienced.
Zane Lowe reflected on the journey since launching Beats 1: “When we first launched Beats 1 it was a leap of faith… Ten years on… I’m just as excited for what’s to come as I was on day one.” To commemorate the milestone anniversary of Apple Music Radio—a defining feature since its inception—special programming will air starting June 30th.
Listeners can expect an eight-hour broadcast event titled “10 Years of Apple Music” featuring exclusive releases and cultural milestones that have shaped the service over time. Additionally unveiled will be Apple Music’s top 500 most-streamed songs countdown beginning July 1st.
Apple Music is also introducing Replay All Time—a version allowing subscribers access via Home tab—to see their most-played tracks since joining the platform.
