Apple has announced the winners and finalists of the 2025 Apple Design Awards, recognizing 12 apps and games for their design excellence. These awards celebrate innovation, ingenuity, and technical achievement in app development.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, commented on the significance of these awards: “Developers continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible, creating apps and games that are not only beautifully designed but also deeply impactful.” She expressed excitement about celebrating the winners and finalists at WWDC.

The awards highlight one app and one game across six categories: Delight and Fun, Innovation, Interaction, Inclusivity, Social Impact, and Visuals and Graphics. The selections were made from a pool of 36 global finalists who demonstrated outstanding design experiences.

In the Delight and Fun category, CapWords by HappyPlan Tech from China was recognized as an app that transforms images into interactive stickers for language learning. Balatro by LocalThunk from Canada was acknowledged for its engaging gameplay combining poker with solitaire elements.

For Innovation, Play by Rabbit 3 Times from the United States stood out as a tool for building interactive prototypes using SwiftUI frameworks. PBJ — The Musical by Philipp Stollenmayer from Germany creatively combined rhythm-based gameplay with storytelling.

Taobao by Zhejiang Taobao Network from China was highlighted in the Interaction category for its immersive shopping experience using Apple Vision Pro. DREDGE by Black Salt Games from New Zealand offered a blend of horror exploration in its gaming experience.

Speechify from the United States received recognition in Inclusivity for transforming text into audio across multiple languages. Art of Fauna by Klemens Strasser from Austria combined puzzle-solving with inclusivity themes.

Watch Duty by Sherwood Forestry Service provided crucial updates during wildfires in Southern California under Social Impact. Neva by Devolver Digital explored environmental themes through an action-adventure narrative.

Lastly, Feather: Draw in 3D by Sketchsoft from South Korea was honored for allowing users to create 3D designs on iPad under Visuals and Graphics. Infinity Nikki by Infold Games from Singapore offered a visually rich open-world adventure game experience.
