The 2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback will arrive at dealerships this fall with new features aimed at improving both safety and style. Toyota announced that the latest model includes a standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert across all grades, as well as a wireless charger. The hatchback is powered by a 2.0-liter Dynamic-Force four-cylinder engine, producing 169 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque, and achieves an EPA-estimated combined fuel economy of up to 35 miles per gallon for the SE grade.

Three grades will be available: SE, FX Edition, and XSE. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for the SE starts at $24,180, not including dealer processing and handling fees.

Toyota highlighted its TNGA-C platform in the Corolla Hatchback, which supports a solid structure and refined suspension tuning for improved handling and ride comfort. All trims come equipped with paddle shifters that allow drivers to select from 10 preset gear ratios, providing what Toyota describes as a sportier driving experience.

A new addition for 2026 is the FX Edition. Based on the SE grade, it features distinctive elements such as 18-inch gloss white-finished alloy wheels, a black vented sport wing for enhanced aerodynamics, heritage-inspired rear badging referencing the original FX16 from the 1980s, and interior Sport Touring seats with orange stitching. Only 1,600 units of the FX Edition will be produced for the U.S. market.

Inside every Corolla Hatchback is an 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Connectivity options include dual Bluetooth phone pairing and a trial period of Wi-Fi Connect service that enables up to five devices to connect via AT&T Hotspot functionality.

Additional connected services are offered through subscriptions or trial periods: Safety Connect provides emergency assistance and automatic collision notification; Service Connect offers vehicle health reports; Remote Connect allows owners to interact with their vehicle using the Toyota app.

All models feature Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as standard equipment. This suite includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Proactive Driving Assist.

The Corolla Hatchback also comes with Toyota’s basic warranty covering three years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first), powertrain coverage for five years or 60,000 miles, corrosion protection without mileage limitation for five years, and complimentary scheduled maintenance through ToyotaCare for two years or up to 25,000 miles.

Toyota has been present in the United States for nearly seven decades and currently operates almost 1,500 dealerships nationwide. The company employs about 48,000 people in the U.S., who have contributed to designing and assembling over 35 million vehicles at its eleven manufacturing plants. In North Carolina specifically—beginning in 2025—the company started assembling automotive batteries intended for electrified vehicles.

“Toyota (NYSE:TM) has been a part of the cultural fabric in the U.S. for nearly 70 years, and is committed to advancing sustainable, next-generation mobility through our Toyota and Lexus brands, plus our nearly 1,500 dealerships.”

“Through its Driving Possibilities initiative, the Toyota USA Foundation has committed to creating innovative educational programs within, and in partnership with historically underserved communities near the company’s U.S. operating sites.”
