County of Wake issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.

It's been another busy year for Wake County EMS. We finished the year with just under 128,000 calls. 

The busiest district award goes to our Northeast District #3, which includes North Raleigh, Northeast Raleigh, Wake Forest, and Rolesville. 

EMS 50, located in downtown Cary tallied the most calls by a single unit with 4,083. As our community grows, we anticipate our call volume to continue to increase. We thank all of our providers for their dedication and hard work during these busy times.
